Add Vitamin E to Your Skincare Routine

Benefits of Vitamin E in the Skincare Routine

Make sure to always purchase vitamin E products that specifically use sunflowers. You should never buy any product with GMOs.

Vitamin E is basically a skincare superhero. It scavenges loose electrons, known as free radicals, that can damage your cells. Not only does it prevent more free radicals from being produced, but it also hydrates the skin and protects against UV-induced skin photo damage.

Not only is Vitamin E an excellent multitasker, but it can also help reduce under-eye circles. This makes it a perfect ingredient for aging skin or skin that has been exposed to too much sun.

There Are Eight Different Types of Vitamin E

There are two types of tocopherols: tocopherol and tocotrienols. Each type is further divided into four subcategories (alpha, beta, gamma, and delta), but the only one that’s beneficial for your skin is alpha-tocopherol.

So when you’re looking at beauty product labels, make sure to choose products that include this key ingredient.

Vitamin E has been a staple in dermatologists’ skin care products for over 50 years because it is an incredible antioxidant. In addition, it is an anti-inflammatory agent with solar-protective properties.

Some researchers are even investigating its potential to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin E appears to do everything!

The top beauty products don’t use any genetically modified ingredients. That means that none of the components have had their genes’ structure or characteristics changed in any way. While GMO ingredients may make a product last longer on store shelves, for example, they can be bad for our health overall.

Sunflowers are not only plentiful and sustainable, but they also offer us a safe alternative to soy based vitamin E. GMO forms of vitamin E are currently the only available form, which is why it’s so important to take advantage of sunflower seeds as a dietary supplement.

You can also look for foods that are rich in vitamin E like almonds, hazelnuts, spinach and avocados.
