Here’s How It Works

If you are curious about dry brushing or dubious of the hype – a luminous, full-body radiance and awake energy for instance – I can assure you that its soothing effects on the skin, evening out the complexion and uplifting impact on moods are real.

These results will totally transform your perspective! Personally, I am obsessed with it; every morning before work, I use this luxurious marble-made brush to make me feel more grounded.

As soon as I awaken, I spring out of bed to dry brush and lavish my skin with a floral toner paired with two essential exfoliators. 7:30 a.m.: Taking a spin around my neighborhood to get those positive vibes flowing is one of the best ways for me to stay in shape. As the vibrant green foliage and stunning flowers adorning Atlanta emerge in the spring, I’m determined to take advantage by biking three mornings out of every week. 8:45 a.m.:I return home, and before washing off the day’s grime, I dry brush. The feeling is second to none—it feels like having your back scratched with an even better sensation! With slow, methodical strokes towards my heart, I start from my feet, up my legs and hips, then down the front and back of them before moving on and brushing upwards along both arms all the way to my shoulders, followed by across my décolleté, and finally down to where it all started at my abdomen.

I don’t linger in any single area for too long and apply harder pressure to certain body parts like the elbows, knees, feet, and ankles, as those areas have thicker skin. We are used to showing special attention to our face’s skin, but taking care of ourselves through body brushing is something that should be done solely for ourselves!

8:55 a.m.: I’m a fan of the occasional morning bath because it’s such an indulgent way to start my day slowly. I only treat myself to one when I need some clarity on something, and then I use Argan Oil Creamy Cleanser for washing my face—it feels like being in a spa!

9: 15 a.m.: Despite being a fan of minimalism, I’m actually quite the glamour girl at heart. Whenever I walk out of my house, I make sure to put on some pink lipstick – it’s like an armor for me that allows me to feel ready and confident about whatever comes my way.

Before applying any lip color, though, I have this organic lip balm, which makes my lips so soft and smooth; its texture is simply divine!

I apply a natural foundation to give my skin a smooth finish, and then add some subtle eyeliner for definition. A light dusting of orange or pink blush gives me a soft glow while spritzing face mist sets the look with a refreshingly dewy finish.
