Not Sure How to Handle Your Rosacea? Don’t Worry, You’re Not Alone
Are you tired of searching for the perfect skincare routine to relieve your rosacea symptoms? Look no further! This article is designed with YOU in mind.
My skin has always been a source of frustration for me – no matter how well I take care of it. It’s dry and flaky at times, but also oily in some areas; rough to the touch with unhealthy-looking complexions due to rosacea and redness.
The corners of my lips droop downward making me look sad all the time, not just when I’m feeling down. My skin simply looks inflamed rather than calm and radiant like what you’d expect from someone who takes excellent care of themselves. Needless to say, it can be discouraging when your best efforts aren’t reflected on the outside mirroring inner healthiness!
It’s always been a struggle for me to find the perfect solutions for my skin, particularly since many products center around treating rosacea but not much else. I’m looking for something that can handle more than just one condition and improve the overall look of my skin.
Rosacea can be difficult to cure, often requiring trial and error before finding the best remedy for your skin. If you have the financial means (and insurance coverage), it is wise to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist who specializes in treating rosacea.
If not, then try to use the gentlest products available. Many conventional beauty products contain irritants and toxins that can be detrimental to rosacea sufferers; even those labeled as “sensitive skin” may still irritate.
Natural brands like 100% Pure have a variety of ‘clean’ options, but some individual ingredients might still exacerbate your symptoms. Managing rosacea is no easy feat!
To combat rosacea, I started with products made from azulene. This ingredient calms and soothes the skin while gently exfoliating it to reduce both wrinkles and breakouts. Always check labels for “fragrance”, as this can be irritating to your skin.
Additionally, ensure that you use sunscreen free of chemical sunscreens; these are known to cause adverse effects on sensitive areas like your face.
A mineral block is known to be soothing for your skin, as the minerals in it are quite similar to those found in diaper-rash creams! As far as moisturizers go, try finding one with simple yet clean ingredients. This brand specializes in gentle formulas that should help you out—I’m sure of it!
Last but not least, you should consider taking fish oil supplements and probiotics for more vibrant skin. The anti-inflammatory qualities of the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil will help keep your skin hydrated from within, while probiotics can improve overall health as well as give your complexion a healthy boost. It’s certainly worth giving it a try!
